Springfield Lakes opens Summit Display Village

Some of Brisbane’s best builders have joined forces with Lend Lease at Springfield Lakes to develop a unique and new display village solely focussed on designs for sloping blocks.

The Summit  Display Village will be officially opened on Monday the 1st of August, the first day for the Queensland Government’s Building Boost.

Springfield Lakes Project Director Ian Murray said The Summit is a dedicated response to the fact that most people do not have flat blocks and need intelligent solutions to their building issues.

“We sent out to builders a brief of what we wanted and the issues to be addressed and we received a very positive response from builders with designs that met our criteria for this display village.

“Displaying appropriate slope responsive designs provides a unique opportunity for builders to show potential clients suitable designs that can easily be accommodated for on their sloping block.

“All the designs included in The Summit Display Village demonstrate how a home can be built on the site with minimal need for earthworks and retaining. The use of retaining walls is reduced because it is our belief that the right design can alleviate the need for retaining walls.”

In addition to the design they have constructed each builder also needed to have designs available that can adapt to a slope down from the road, up from the road and from side to side.

The home designs also demonstrate the benefit of sloping land such as views, breezes, diversity of street scapes and enhanced privacy, both indoor and outdoor.
In addition builders were strongly encouraged to provide designs that were focussed on safety and environmental sustainability

“I think the builders have done a great job in responding to our brief and the end result provides numerous options for those who are about to build their new home.

“I am very pleased that Springfield Lakes has once again been at the forefront of the industry by providing real solutions at a time when sloping blocks appear to be becoming more prevalent around the country.”

The Summit  Display Village is located Parkview Drive, Springfield Lakes

Central Walk Display Village

The centrally located Central Walk Display Village features low maintenance urban living home options including town villas, terraces and town cottages.

The brand new display village presents plenty of choice for homebuyers with display homes by some of Australia’s most renowned builders including Orbit, Ausbuild, Plantation, Invision, Colonial Building Company and Fresh Homes.

Lend Lease Project Director Ian Murray said the Central Walk Display Village will give home buyers an insight into the benefits of a city fringe lifestyle without the inner city price tag.

“Now more than ever, young professionals, empty nesters and couples are opting for a social lifestyle that’s about convenience – living close to shops, cafes and amenities with everything they need within reach,” Mr Murray said.

“The Central Walk Display Village is the first of its kind for Springfield Lakes and will demonstrate to homebuyers the inner-urban style living options available to them that have been designed as low maintenance.”
